This work is an exploration of my experience among coral structures off the coast of Belize. While observing sea fans, elkhorn coral, and more, I saw deep contrasts and a layering of community and culture displaying the artistry of iterative process. I layered paper and texture to reflect the knowledge these aquatic beings share about relationships by interweaving each complex individual into the whole of the composition.
