In 2018, I participated in an Earth Expeditions course in Belize. While there, my peers and I studied scientific field methods, marine and forest ecology, educational leadership, and inquiry learning methods from local experts at The Belize Zoo, the Community Baboon Sanctuary, and Tobacco Caye. This journal entry is an illustration of a Central American Pygmy Owl that I had the pleasure of meeting at The Belize Zoo.
