Rainy Day on Lake Michigan

While creating this painting as I observed the Lake Michigan shoreline, a thunderstorm broke. I sheltered some of the painting from the rain but allowed the blue hues of the lake to meet the droplets. This interaction softened the textures of the waves while blending the colors. It was exciting to create with the natural processes around me.
