Watching Whale Sharks

In 2017, I embarked on an Earth Expeditions course in Baja, Mexico. My peers and I studied local knowledge, scientific field methods, desert and marine ecology, and community-based conservation methods at Rancho San Gregorio and the Vermilion Sea Field Station. This illustration represents one incredible moment swimming next to a whale shark while keeping a respectful distance.
